Hey everyone! I wanted to share my exciting journey for the upcoming Jurassic Coast event with you all. As a seasoned ultra-Walker, I have taken on some challenging events in the past, including the Thames Path 100km in just under 23 hours. This time, I am gearing up to conquer the Jurassic Coast in one go, a daunting task that I am both nervous and excited for.
my training for this event began in February, focusing on building my strength and endurance for the gruelling course ahead. The Jurassic Coast is known for its hilly terrain and unpredictable weather, making it a true test of physical and mental toughness. With rain in the forecast for the day of the event, I am mentally preparing myself to take on the challenge and push through any obstacles that come my way.
Starting bright and early at 8am on Saturday, my goal is to reach the halfway mark in Weymouth before nightfall, and then pace myself through the night to finish strong. It's all about managing my energy, avoiding injuries, and staying focused on the task at hand.
I am so grateful for the support and encouragement from everyone as I embark on this epic adventure. Wish me luck and stay tuned for a post-event update once I've recovered and regained my strength. Thank you all for following along on my journey to the Jurassic Coast! #ultrarunning #JurassicCoast #challengeaccepted
